Jim Coan discusses his brain research, which shows us the brain is wired for relationships. When we know someone has our back and we are not alone problems and stress seem less bad and painful events less painful. Having a buddy changes our perception! The longer we know someone and the closer we get to another the more that person becomes part of our internal working model of self. The individual self, in some ways is a myth. As Genesis says, "It is not good for humans to be alone." Wow.
Sue Johnson speaks about love, attachment, and the human need for connection.
